It only takes one person to make a difference. Mr. Al Holland, a former member of the music group the Platters, began an annual benefit donated to individuals with autism in conjunction with the Charlotte County Public School System.

  • World Autism Awareness Day is a nationally observed day on the 2nd of April every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about children with autism throughout the world. It was designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution “62/139.
  • Autism Awareness Month, which is usually in April, is a time to educate your community about autism and Light It Up Blue! Spreading autism awareness in schools is a great way to celebrate April and promote inclusion and acceptance in the classroom and beyond.
